How trades work

Trade-In Terms

Plain English, no fine-print games. This is exactly how a Metro Mulligans trade-in works from submission to payment.

Last updated: July 2026

Our promise: if we inspect your clubs and can't honor the offer we sent, you get two choices — accept a revised offer, or we ship your clubs back to you free. You will never be stuck with a lowball you didn't agree to.

1. Submitting your clubs

Tell us what you have using the trade-in form. Describe the condition as accurately as you can — when you're torn between two grades, pick the lower one. Accurate descriptions mean your offer holds up when the clubs arrive.

By submitting, you confirm the clubs are yours to sell and are not stolen, counterfeit, or subject to any lien or claim.

2. Your offer

We review your submission and email an offer, usually within 24 hours. Offers are based on brand, model, condition, completeness, and what the current resale market looks like.

Offers are good for 7 days from the date we send them. After that the market may have moved and we may need to re-quote.

An offer is not a binding purchase until we receive and inspect the clubs. You're under no obligation to accept.

3. Shipping

When you accept an offer, we email you a prepaid shipping label.

Please pack your clubs well — heads protected, box sealed. Damage that happens because clubs were shipped loose or unpadded may affect your final offer. Keep your tracking number until payment clears.

4. Inspection

We inspect every club when it arrives. If it matches your description, we pay the offer amount as sent.

If the condition is materially different from what was described, we'll email you a revised offer with an explanation. From there you can:

If we don't hear from you within 14 days of sending a revised offer, we'll follow up before taking any further action.

5. Payment

Once you accept and the clubs pass inspection, we pay within 2 business days. We currently pay by cash-equivalent electronic transfer (such as PayPal, Venmo, or Zelle) — you tell us which you prefer when you accept.

Store credit is not available yet. When our own shop launches, credit will become an option and we'll let past sellers know first.

6. What we accept

Name-brand drivers, fairway woods, hybrids, iron sets, wedges, and putters in playable condition. Mixed lots are welcome.

We generally can't take: clubs with cracked or dented heads, counterfeit or replica clubs, heavily rusted shafts, or anything not safe to play. If something in your lot doesn't qualify, we'll tell you before you ship rather than after.

7. Limits

Metro Mulligans isn't responsible for loss or damage that occurs in transit beyond the coverage provided by the carrier on the label we supply. Our liability in any dispute is limited to the value of the offer made.

We may decline any submission, and we may update these terms. The version posted here at the time of your submission is the one that applies to it.

8. Contact and governing law

Questions or disputes: email metromulligans@gmail.com and we'll work it out directly. These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
